Medical Education Fellowship

As a non-ACGME fellowship, our fellows are full-time employee of Brown EM. Annual salary will be based on 16 clinical hours per week.
​
A fully-funded master's degree in medical or health professions education is included.
Clinical hours are typically assigned to the Miriam Hospital and
Rhode Island Hospital’s Anderson Emergency Center, or other emergency departments as determined by the Chair.

Fellows are eligible for 4 weeks paid vacation/CME during each fiscal year, and Brown EM provides a generous professional allowance for CME activities, travel to present scholarly work, or other professional development activities.

Fellows are eligible to participate in Brown EM benefits which include health, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, retirement and critical illness.
Brown EM will cover the cost of one board certification exam during your fellowship, if applicable.

Fellows' employment is contingent upon obtaining a Rhode Island Medical License, membership on the Medical Staff, appointment from Brown to the Department of Emergency Medicine, either Board eligible or proof of Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, a DEA narcotics license and completed provider applications with the insurers with which Brown EM participates.
